Bhadohi's young chess talents delivered a remarkable performance at the State-Level Secondary School Chess Championship, held at Dharam Samaj Inter College, Aligarh, securing the Gold Medal in the Under-17 Girls' category.
Representing the Mirzapur Division, the Bhadohi team displayed consistent performance across all five rounds, scoring 4.5 points to finish 1st in the Under-17 Girls' category.
The Gold Medal-winning team comprised Kajal, Aradhana, Honey, Shifa and Ruchi. Kajal and Aradhana delivered outstanding individual performances, scoring a perfect 5/5. Both players were also selected to represent at the National School Games scheduled for January.
This achievement reflects the growing strength of chess at the school level in Bhadohi and the emergence of promising young talent. It also highlights the importance of creating sustained opportunities for students to learn, compete and grow through chess.
